Aptimus is looking for a Creative Director to join its growing Search and Media team. The Aptimus Media Services team manages proprietary media for Apollo Group. Our current primary focus is on higher education on behalf of Apollo Group's University of Phoenix brand. We are seeking a conceptual, innovative, strategic thinker to lead the creative process and the creative team.
The Creative Director is responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the creative team. He/she oversees all creative projects from concept to completion and translates marketing objectives into creative strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the creative team in the production of advertising and marketing collateral
- Manage the status on current projects and assign new projects; lead brainstorming sessions to develop ad campaigns based on client's needs
- Apply brand identity systems, typography, photography, color and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions that meet business and user needs
- Educate other team members, not exclusive to the creative studio, through project development and performance management
- Collaborate with other functions within Media Services team to create and develop new business opportunities
- Responsible for creating on-brand, on-strategy compelling creative work
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 6+ years of industry/agency experience (at least 4 yrs of interactive design experience)
- Advanced leadership and project management skills
- Strong design background
- Expert knowledge of all steps required in the creative development process, including providing clear creative direction, giving timely and helpful coaching to improve creative and producing work cost effectively and on schedule
- A solid understanding of online and offline production
- Well-developed communication skills including ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale to other team members and client
- Must understand how to define, develop and sell a brand
- Significant interactive brand-building experience including: concept development, website design, identity design, and online marketing campaign development
- Knowledge or expertise in digital production, budgeting and general project management is preferred
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail is a must
- Self motivated, organized and accountable
- A solid knowledge of the latest versions of applicable programs: Mac OS, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, etc
