Please note that since Aptimus utilizes a Network of partner sites to provide you with the best traffic for your campaign, it is important that your link-out offer adhere to our business policies:
- The consumer order "form" should be on the landing page
- There should be no pop-ups or pop-unders
- The order form should not break out of the frame or take over the page
- All client hosted images & pages should be saved on secure servers to avoid security warning error messages.
- We recommend your landing page form and submit button fit within a 540x500 size window for optimal viewing within the Aptimus Network.
Tracking Code Setup Information:
You will need to install the following Aptimus Tracking Code on your Thank You / Confirmation page and populate it with the "uid" value we append to your landing page URL.
<img src="http://actl.aptimus.com/AptiControl/Order?uid=&crid=" width="1" height="1">
UID - Populated by Aptimus For "uid" Aptimus will pass a dynamic value to the client by appending the value to pass as "uid" in the redirect to the landing page url provided by the client. The client will need to capture this value for each consumer passed to them by Aptimus, carry the value throughout the order process, and then pass it back to Aptimus on their confirmation page within the tracking code as uid=. Note that this value is dynamic and can change with every lead.
The tracking code should only display when the confirmation page is displayed for one of the Aptimus referred customers, not every time the confirmation page displays. Also, if the tracking code is on a redirect page, the page must display long enough to fully load, so the tracking code will properly display.
Client Reference ID (crid) - Populated by Client The Client Reference ID (crid) field is used to store a unique identifier to identify the lead in the clients system, such as the clients Order ID or Transaction ID. This information is then stored by Aptimus and can be used as a reference to help resolve and trouble shoot discrepancies in order counts. This value must be unique per transaction. This field is not required, but it is highly recommended.
Secure Confirmation Pages: If your confirmation page is a secure page, the tracking code also needs to be secure, in order to not trigger a warning pop-up box when the user goes to the confirmation page. The only difference in the tracking code is to change to "https" as shown below:
